Forsøkskomiteen vil komme med en rekke nyttige tips til dyrevelferdsenhetene og forskere fremover. Og første tips ut kommer her.
Sitter du i en dyrevelferdsenhet og trenger noen nyttige tips? En av Forsøksdyrkomiteens oppgaver er å dele faglig informasjon og på spørreundersøkelsen vi gjennomførte i 2019 svarte dyrevelferdsenhetene overveldende at dere trenger mer informasjon. Derfor har Forsøkskomiteen laget en rekke korte nyhetssaker med tips til dyrevelferdshetene om hvordan man kan gjennomføre kvalitetssikring av søknadene på best mulig måte.

Forsøksdyrforskriften inneholder en liste med temaer som søknaden skal inneholde. Denne listen kan være nyttig å ha i bakhodet når man leser en søknad for første gang, for å sikre at forsker har inkludert all informasjon som er nødvendig. Listen finner du i forskriftens vedlegg A-C. Dette vil gjøre din jobb enklere og behandlingstiden i Forsøksdyrforvaltingen raskere.

Tips for the animal welfare body: What information needs to be included in a FOTS application?
Are you in an animal welfare body and need some good tips? One of the tasks of the Norwegian national committee for the protection of animals used for scientific purposes is to share knowledge and in the survey we conducted in 2019 the animal welfare bodies answered overwhelmingly that you want more information. Therefore, the committee have produced a set of short news pieces including tips for the animal welfare bodies on how to conduct the quality control of the applications in the best way.
First, we start with what the applications should include:
The Norwegian laboratory animal regulation has a list of themes that should be included in the application. This list can be useful to have in the back of your mind when you read an application for the first time, to insure that the researcher has included all the necessary information. You will find the list in appendix A-C in the regulation. This will make your work easier and decrease the turnaround time at the authorities.
